The information below is provided to assist interested members of the public through our new volunteer process.
It is required that all new Discovery Day volunteers attend an orientation.
Orientations take place from 10am-12pm on the 3rd Saturday of each month (excluding December). RSVP for orientation by email is encouraged.
During orientations present members will be guided through the MaST Center by a staff member observing current volunteers at their stations. At the end of the orientation, those members who are still interested in becoming a volunteer will fill out required paperwork and register into our online volunteer scheduling program, Volgistics.
Upon completeing orientation and volgistics registration, new volunteers must complete at least two Job Shadow Shifts during a Discovery Day event (8am-2pm). Withing two weeks of paperwork submission, volunteers will receive a login for our online education program, Canvas.
Once a volunteer has completed all of the above steps, they are consided are "formal volunteer" and may resume their volunteer duties at the MaST Center as such.
These forms will be available during orientations. It is encouraged to wait until after orientation to submit paperwork.
